Seascapes of Ireland

These pictures are from a short trip into Ireland during the tail end of the heat wave that plagued Europe over the summer. I was glad for the coolness of the air and the rain… until it began to make camping somewhat more challenging.

I began cycling in Co. Cork, and travelled towards Co. Kerry.

The following pictures have been taken on the beaches surrounding Castlegregory in Kerry, where I was priviledged to spend a week. Impossible to get bored when the atmospheric conditions change by the hour, alighting new colours, emphasizing different details, creating the most fascinating of rainbow shows.

Then I crossed briefly into Co. Clare,

before returning to Rosslare – can you spot the rainbow on this last picture?

There was a dolphin too, swimming just outside the jetty.
